Stage Makeup 101

Being both a dancer and a makeup lover, I love stage makeup. My personal dance studio has a quote unquote "makeup code" so I often do not get to be creative with my stage makeup selections. But I have lots of tips to share. I will also be uploading a video on how to implement these tips on my channel ( ASAP.

Cake your face. You can never have too much foundation, deep blush or contour. Bright stage lights wash out any color you may have on your face so you should over do it. Have fun playing with that dark blush you never wear!

Pop your peepers! Your eyes are the window to your soul and you want the audience sitting in the back row to be able to see them clearly. You will need to not only focus on and above your eyelids but below as well. You don't want top heavy eyes!!! I suggest using eyeliner to rim your entire eye and using fake eyelashes.

Vampy lips. Choose a long wearing lip product that is deep and dark. Burgandy is my favorite shade but you can play with reds and plums. Just make sure you don't have any on your teeth! You don't want to be flashing the audience an award winning smile with lipstick on your pearly whites!

Other notes.
  • Rhinestones and glitter can really enhance your look try placing 2 gems around your outer corner
  • Always have eyelash glue in case your lashes or gems fall off!
  • Bring oil blotting sheets and extra powder to touch up after you get sweaty
Hair. Keep it out of your face. Bun it. Gel it. Have bobby/safety pins at all times.

Are some nude lip products too nude?

It's the age old battle of being in a store with no testers and wanting to buy a nude lippy. Will it even show up? I decided to swatch all my nude lippies and show you which ones do and which don't.

Ushering in a New Era...

Hello my followers! This blog has been a hodge podge of material as of late simply due to the fact that I haven't had much time to post. So with the holiday season right around the corner I will try to post more beauty related content and maybe even a gift guide. I would be more motivated to post also I think if I had a greater following so make sure to share my posts on twitter, google+ etc. Thanks for all the love :)

Why My Skin Problems Are Not Solved

I have acne issues, I'm a teenager it's not uncommon. However I've had these problems consistently for at least 3 years probably. I've tried several drugstore products and my mom took me to my pediatrician. Who gave me some topicals that worked for like 2 months. However because they worked for my older sister my mom is convinced that I must have not used them properly. I've asked her to take me to a dermatologist and she refuses. I'm not sure why. My skin is always very oily and it gets very shiny by the end of the day which has convinced my mom that I don't wash my face twice a day and that's why. When it fact I wash my face in the morning with noxema and at night with almay makeup remover, neutrogena clear pore and yes to tomatoes clay mask. So yeah it's not my fault. Also my dad sometimes makes fun of me about my skin which actually makes me cry and just earlier today my neighbor told me I shouldn't eat so much dessert or I'd get more pimples, and I cried. I apologize for the typos it's late at night and I just wanna be done with it all.
